Our Mission
Having worked in the IT industry for over 20 years now, I fully understand the different types of stress that can come with the job. From working in hospitals where network outages could literally impact someone’s life, to warehouses and manufacturing plants where minutes down cost millions. Add in small department sizes, on-call rotations, late night change windows, weekends, holidays, and technology that advances quicker than you can keep up, it is easy to see why so many of my co-workers struggled dealing with their daily stress management. Between work and home life, it can be difficult to find a healthy way to navigate the emotional, mental, and even physical weight bearing down on you. Too many professionals are getting burnt out and quitting only to repeat the cycle at the next place. Or worse, having physical health scares at an early age.
The goal of the workshops is to help IT Professionals engineer their emotional network to create a healthier lifestyle. This is done through emotional education and science based mindfulness practices including meditation and breathwork. Education introduces awareness and logic into how to handle different emotions, which then leads you to understanding how different tools and small actions can make dramatic impact. Workshops include a mix of presentations and guided practice with different techniques.
